New patients

Welcome. Here’s what to expect.

Everything you need before your first visit: the steps, the forms, insurance and payment, and how care unfolds afterwards.

IIWhat to expect

Seven steps, at your pace

When you first walk into our office, our receptionist will warmly greet you. Everything after that is a conversation: all testing is done only with your consent, and you decide on treatment together.

  1. Patient forms

When you first walk in, our receptionist will warmly greet you and ask you to complete our patient form. It gives us a history of your health and your current condition. You can download it ahead of time.

  2. Consultation

You and Dr. Lind talk about your health, symptoms, concerns and possible options for treatment. The purpose is for him to learn about you, your condition and your expectations, and how chiropractic care can help you meet those goals.

  3. Examination

A complete chiropractic examination tests your reflexes and flexibility, along with standard neurological, orthopedic, postural and physical tests. All testing is done only with your consent.

  4. X-ray studies

Some conditions call for X-rays, which can help build the most beneficial treatment plan; sometimes X-rays alone show misalignments or degeneration. Please tell us first if you have any serious spinal conditions.

  5. Report of findings

Once your information is gathered and the examinations are finished, you get a detailed report of the findings. Your questions about how we can help, how often to visit and the expected cost are answered. If your condition needs another provider, you will be told.

  6. Treatment

You can choose to have your first treatment that day. It may include spinal adjustments, soft-tissue massage and/or physical therapy. Feel free to raise any concern about the different styles of treatment at any time: chiropractic care should be a conversation.

  7. Wellness program

Before you leave, you can choose to add a wellness plan for outside the office: ice or heat if you have been in pain, stretches, activities or positions to avoid, and if you like, healthy habits for spinal alignment, exercise, diet and a positive state of mind. Every plan is made for the person.
