Body, mind and spirit, together

Dr. Gregory Lind, D.C. is a wellness expert with over 40 years of experience in the San Francisco Bay Area. He runs Family Chiropractic & Natural Healing Center in Milpitas, California. His philosophy of integrating body, mind and spirit helps his patients reach their best performance, well-being and health.

His approach is restorative, and it uses natural methods to revitalize body systems that are run down and in a state of degeneration. Dr. Lind believes two important systems get little attention in a traditional medical model: the nervous system, the body’s communication, and the immune system, which keeps the body running cleanly by reducing its toxic load. When these systems are overloaded, stress builds up in the body, and that can lead to a breakdown in health, poor performance or disease.

IIWhat he works with

Chiropractic, and everything around it

Dr. Lind specializes in alternative medicine and wellness care. Alongside chiropractic adjustments, his work includes:

  • Chiropractic
  • Diet and nutrition
  • Homeopathy
  • Massage
  • Acupressure reflex work
  • Neuro-emotional techniques
  • Mind–body alignment
  • Light therapy
  • Energy medicine

People come to him for back and neck pain, headaches, sports, auto and work injuries, and for help with long-standing problems: chronic pain and fatigue, degenerative conditions, and the stress that wears a body down.

IIIEnergetic medicine

The ideas behind his approach

One of Dr. Lind’s areas of expertise is energetic medicine. His analysis and treatment methods draw on the work of the biophysicist Dr. Fritz-Albert Popp, Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, M.D. and Dr. Yoshiaki Omura, M.D.

In Germany in the 1970s, Dr. Popp studied the very faint light given off by the cells of living things. He proposed that healthy cells give off light that is coherent and well organized, like a laser, with the waves lined up and in step, and that when cells are not working properly, the light becomes scattered and chaotic, like the light from an ordinary bulb.

In the same spirit, Dr. Omura described a “resonance” response of the nervous system that he used to look for where problems may lie. Techniques like these give Dr. Lind quick feedback on where to look and which natural therapies may help.

Light, scattered and coherent: a picture of Dr. Popp’s idea. Switch between the two.

Much to my surprise years ago, the chiropractor who had been recommended by my former doctor turned out to be a former schoolmate! I was so glad to hear that he does not require his patients to disrobe during adjustments, just one of many positives here.

I looked him up in an old yearbook, and instantly recognized his face. The 20+ years of aging that the rest of us endured amazingly bypassed Greg Lind, attributable mostly to his craft, I guess. Apparently, he is his own best patient!

IVFrom a patient

He seems to have a sixth sense

“Dr. Lind’s adjustments and holistic treatments have kept my lower back virtually pain free. He seems to have a sixth sense that zeroes in on the root cause of any problem, and he then recommends the remedy for your consideration.”
